Everything about Crystalline Copper totally explained
Single Crystal Copper (Crystalline Copper) is a subtype of high purity
copper metals. Other types include
electrolytic copper, which however doesn't achieve same purity values as crystalline copper.
Properties
Crystalline copper features a
single crystal structure, which comes from the fact that it's grown using the
Czochralski process. Crystalline copper, grown as a
single crystal, has unique physical and chemical properties, such as considerably longer granules and absolute absence of gaseous impurities such as oxygen, carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen.
The Ohno Continuous Casting (OCC) process may also be used to obtain longer than usual granules, yet granules are much shorter than in
single crystal copper.
